Most task planners only track what's pending. Loginboard records what was actually done. Plan your day by creating task log entries with priority and subtasks. As you work, mark tasks complete — and your plan becomes your work record automatically.

In Loginboard, a task plan is a set of task log entries. You create them, work through them, and when you're done the plan is also your work record. Nothing needs to be transferred, re-entered, or updated separately.
At the start of the day, add a log entry of type "Task" for each thing you plan to work on. Set a priority — high, medium, or low. Add subtasks to break it into steps. Add a note or link if context is needed. Your plan is set.
Mark tasks high, medium, or low priority at creation. Priority labels show inline in the log feed so you know which items to tackle first without sorting through a separate priority list or reordering a board.
Add subtasks to any task entry. Each one has its own checkbox. Check them off as you work through the steps. The parent task shows how many subtasks remain, so you always know how close to done you are.
When you toggle a task done, the completion is timestamped. That entry — your planned task — is now also your work record for that item. You don't write a separate EOD update; the log already has it.
If a planned task is blocked by a dependency or a missing approval, switch it to blocked status. Blocked items appear with a distinct label in the feed and show up separately in the EOD report so they can't be overlooked.
Your planned tasks, once completed, automatically populate the End-of-Day report. Incomplete and blocked tasks appear separately. The report shows the gap between your plan and what was actually done — useful for retrospectives.
Attach a URL to any task — a ticket, a design file, a specification, a pull request. The link stays with the task entry so everything you need to complete the task is in one place when you come back to it.
Each workspace has its own log feed. Tasks for one project don't mix with tasks for another. Switch workspace and you see only the tasks that belong there — no filtering or custom views to configure.
Create task log entries for each piece of work you intend to complete. Set priority on each one. Add subtasks for anything that has multiple steps. Attach links to relevant tickets or documents. Your plan is the task feed in Loginboard.
Work through your task list and check off subtasks as you go. When a task is complete, toggle it done — the timestamp is recorded. If a new piece of work comes in, add a new task entry. If something blocks you, mark it blocked.
The EOD report shows completed tasks, tasks still in progress, and blockers. You can see exactly how your plan compared to what was done. Incomplete tasks roll over naturally — they're still in the feed for tomorrow.
Log each ticket you plan to work on as a task, attached to the issue URL. Work through the list, checking off subtasks as you push commits. By end of day, the completed task list matches what you actually shipped.
Log each deliverable as a task with subtasks for components. Prioritize the list. As components are delivered, check subtasks off. The EOD report keeps stakeholders informed without status call overhead.
Start the day by listing client tasks in the right workspace. Work through them. At the end, the completed task list is the basis for the client update or invoice — already itemized and timestamped.
Create tasks for your weekly or daily responsibilities. Mark each done as you complete it. The log proves the routine was followed — useful for audits and handoffs.
Review yesterday's task log before standup. You'll have specifics — what was done, what's blocked, what's still open — without reconstructing it from memory five minutes before the call.
A task plan that doubles as a work log builds the evidence base for performance reviews over time. Export the task history when you need it — the data is already there.
