The manufacturing handover problem

Outgoing crew writes the shift report
Before the shift ends, the operator logs machine status, production output, safety observations, equipment faults, and any pending work — including critical flags that need immediate attention from the incoming crew.

Incoming crew reads and acknowledges
When the incoming crew arrives, they log in and see the outgoing report. They cannot start their shift board until they click "Acknowledge & Accept." Their name and the exact time is permanently recorded.

Any entry flagged Critical stays pinned at the top of the board — visible to the entire team — until a manager or engineer logs a resolution note. Machine faults don't silently disappear between shifts.

The incoming crew cannot access their shift board until they have read and acknowledged the outgoing report. The machine fault, the safety note, the pending task — all must be read before the shift starts.
