Digital Logbook FAQ

What is a digital logbook?
A digital logbook replaces the paper shift log with a permanent electronic record. In Loginboard every entry is named, timestamped, and impossible to alter after submission — giving you a tamper-proof operational history you can search, filter, and export instantly.
Can entries be edited after they are submitted?
No. Once a log entry is submitted it is permanent. It cannot be edited, deleted, or backdated — by anyone, including admins. This is by design and is what makes the record usable for regulatory, legal, and insurance purposes.
How far back does the logbook history go?
Log history is stored permanently with no expiry date. You can search and retrieve entries from any point in your account's history — useful for long-running compliance requirements or retrospective reviews.
Can we export the logbook for an inspection or audit?
Yes. Export any date range as PDF or CSV. The export includes the entry text, author name, timestamp, category, and shift reference — everything an inspector or auditor needs, formatted cleanly without them needing system access.
Does it work for multiple sites or locations?
Yes. Each Loginboard board maintains its own independent logbook. Managers with multi-board access can review logs across locations from a single account — useful for regional or area managers overseeing multiple sites.
