What is shift handover software?

Can the incoming team be forced to acknowledge before starting?
Yes. In Loginboard the incoming team leader must acknowledge the handover summary by name before they can open their shift. The acknowledgement is timestamped and cannot be bypassed — no silent starts.
What happens to tasks that aren't completed by the outgoing shift?
Open tasks are automatically carried forward into the handover summary for the incoming shift. They remain visible until explicitly completed — nothing is silently dropped at shift change.
How far back can we see handover history?
Handover records are stored permanently with no expiry. You can review every shift handover — what was passed, who acknowledged it, and when — as far back as your account exists.
Does it work for teams with multiple locations or boards?
Yes. Each board in Loginboard operates independently with its own shift and handover history. A manager with access to multiple boards can review handover records across all locations from a single account.
