The checklist accountability gap

Paper checklists get ticked in bulk at the end of a shift, passed between teams without being read, or simply not completed. There's no way to know who checked what — or whether they checked it at all.

Bulk ticking
End-of-shift panic — the whole checklist ticked at once without anyone verifying a single item. The form says done, the work wasn't.
No ownership
Paper checklists don't record who ticked what. When something was missed, everyone points at everyone else — no way to know the truth.
Reset chaos
Who resets the paper form for the next shift? When? Incoming teams start from a form that was partially completed or already signed off.
No manager visibility
Managers have no way to see checklist completion status without physically walking the floor and checking the paper form themselves.
How Loginboard solves it

Every item checked by name.
Every shift starts fresh automatically.

Accountability at item level. Real-time visibility for managers. Automatic reset so the next team always starts clean.

Named item completion
Know exactly who checked what
Every checklist item is checked by a named team member with an automatic timestamp. No bulk sign-offs, no anonymous completion — the record shows who ticked each item and exactly when.
Automatic shift reset
Fresh start every shift — automatically
Checklists reset automatically when a new shift opens. The incoming team always starts with a clean slate — previous completion records are preserved in history but don't carry over as false completions.
Real-time visibility
Managers see completion live
See checklist completion status in real time without physically walking the floor. Know which items are done, which are pending, and which team members are behind — before it becomes a problem.
Multiple checklists
Opening, closing, safety — all managed
Create separate checklists for different purposes — opening checks, closing checks, safety walk-rounds, equipment inspections. Each runs independently with its own completion history and reset cycle.
Completion history
Full audit trail per checklist
Every completed checklist is recorded permanently — who checked each item, when, and in which shift. Available for inspection, internal review, or regulatory audit without any manual record-keeping.
Part of the shift flow
Built into the daily routine
Checklists live inside Loginboard alongside shifts, handovers, and incidents. Team members complete them as part of the shift — not in a separate app or a piece of paper on the wall.
How it works

Set it up once.
Runs every shift — automatically.

Build your checklist once. It resets every shift, tracks every item by name, and keeps the full history forever.

1
Build your checklist
Create your checklist items — opening tasks, safety checks, equipment inspections. Set the checklist to reset automatically each shift. Done once, runs forever.
2
Team completes during the shift
Each team member checks off their items by name during the shift. Each tick is timestamped. Managers see completion status update in real time as items are checked off.
3
Resets for the next shift — history saved
When the shift closes, the checklist resets automatically for the incoming team. The completed record is stored permanently — who did what, when, fully preserved for any review.

Team Checklist FAQ

What is team checklist software?
Team checklist software lets operational teams run recurring checklists digitally — with named completion, automatic reset each shift, and real-time visibility for managers. Loginboard replaces anonymous paper checklists with an accountable digital record that shows who checked each item and when.
Do checklists have to reset every shift?
Reset behaviour is configurable. You can set a checklist to reset automatically on each shift open, or manage it manually. For most operational checklists — opening checks, safety walk-rounds — automatic reset is the right default so the incoming team always starts fresh.
Can different team members complete different items?
Yes. Any team member on the board can check off any item. Each tick records the individual who completed it — so you can see that Sarah checked the fire exits and James checked the refrigeration units, rather than just knowing the checklist is done.
How far back does checklist history go?
Checklist completion history is stored permanently. You can review any completed checklist from any past shift — who checked each item, at what time, in which shift — with no expiry and no manual archiving required.
How many checklists can we create?
Multiple checklists per board are supported. Create separate checklists for opening checks, closing checks, safety inspections, equipment walk-rounds — each with its own items, reset schedule, and independent completion history.
